50 Cent says Black men ‘identifying with’ Donald Trump because…

Rapper 50 Cent remarked recently that he observes Black men "identifying with" Donald Trump, a convicted felon. On Wednesday, June 5, when meeting with senators on Capitol Hill, he delivered the following statements in support of Black businesses and increased Black representation.

It is well known that 50 Cent backed Trump in 2020. The rapper claimed he hasn't decided who to support in the presidential race when questioned by CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion. Along with a few of his supporters, Trump is being charged under the RICO statute in Georgia for allegedly attempting to rig the state's 2020 presidential election. Trump and a few pundits suggested that this would elevate him in the eyes of the Black community. In August of last year, after turning himself in to Georgia police on 13 felony counts brought by a Fulton County grand jury, Trump became the first US president in history to have his mugshot taken. His mugshot was obtained during his booking for the contested election case in an Atlanta jail.

This is really exciting for me

In the meantime, 50 Cent mentioned the reason behind his unexpected visit and reported that everything went according to plan. "I find this to be incredibly exciting. I had the opportunity to meet with all sides today, and it feels fantastic," he remarked, as reported by USA Today. "Getting the lawmakers to agree to see me was an accomplishment in and of itself. They don't agree on a lot of stuff." "This has been a great experience for me," he continued. "I went to talk to them about how exciting it is that there are economic opportunities for everyone." The reply I received gives me hope that we have bright days ahead of us.
