We've learned that 75-year-old Farida Jalal's next film appearance will be in the upcoming Welcome To The Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar. For the Mumbai filming, the seasoned actor has already joined the comedy's cast. The movie belongs to the Welcome franchise and is the third installment.
According to a source, Farida ji is less active these days because of her advanced age and her preference for carefully chosen projects. Nevertheless, she agreed to work on the script after hearing it and thought it would make a fun family film. She has remained consistent over the years: from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) to Batti Gul Meter Chalu (2018), she has starred in movies that families can watch together.
The film, which was directed by Ahmed Khan, features a cast that includes comic industry stalwarts Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueliene Fernandez, and Disha Patani.
