INDIA bloc rally today, BJP takes ‘Bhrashtachar Bachao Andolan’ jibe

New Delhi: Leading figures in the opposition INDIA alliance are scheduled to gather on Sunday at the historic Ramlila Maidan in Delhi for a rally dubbed "Loktantra Bachao" (defend democracy). In light of the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with a liquor policy case, the event is being viewed as the Opposition's demonstration of both strength and solidarity.

Ten things about the INDIA bloc's Delhi demonstration are as follows:

1.The location has increased security, and paramilitary soldiers are present.

2.The Congress declared on Saturday that the gathering is not "person-specific," despite the fact that AAP leaders have framed it as a protest against Kejriwal's arrest.

3.It does not depend on a person. The Loktantra Bachao rally gets its name from this reason. It involves about 27–28 parties, according to Congress spokesman Jairam Ramesh.

4.Leading figures from practically every constituency in India are anticipated to speak and attend the event. Among those in attendance will be former chief Rahul Gandhi and national president Mallikarjun Kharge of the great old party, which is the largest component of the opposition alliance.

5.Sunita, the wife of Arvind Kejriwal, and Kalpana Soren, the former chief minister of Jharkhand, will also be in attendance. In January, the ED detained Hemant Soren in connection with a possible land mining investigation.

6.On the eve of the rally, the two met for fifteen to twenty minutes and declared their "mutual resolve to fight it out." I've come here to share Sunita ji's grief and suffering. She described her situation. Following the meeting, Kalpana told reporters that all of Jharkhand supports Arvind Kejriwal.

7.The AAP has permission from Delhi Police to host the event, which is expected to draw 20,000 people. The stadium can hold about 1.25 lakh people.

8.According to a senior officer, police have permitted the rally with certain restrictions, such as no march, no tractor-trollies, and no firearms in central Delhi.

9.Another officer stated that the political party offices are located at the DDU Marg, and that section 144, which forbids big gatherings, has been enforced there.

10.Meanwhile, the INDIA alliance was targeted by the ruling BJP, which called the gathering a "Bhrashtachar Bachao Andolan" (rescue corrupt campaign). Former BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said that Arvind Kejriwal had threatened to put Lalu Prasad Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, and Rahul Gandhi in jail because they had committed "bhrashtachar." Now that Kejriwal is in jail and the courts are refusing to give him relief, he is turning to the same people for support and is questioning why he is there.
