Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai establishes the Palamu pipeline project

This is a significant plan. Once finished, it would be advantageous to large and small farmers alike. Due to little rainfall, the Palamau division is vulnerable to drought. "To ensure Palamu remains viable throughout the year, our government came up with this project," Chief Minister Champai told the assembly in Medininagar, Palamu district.

According to those with knowledge of the development, Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren lay the ₹456.52 crore Palamu pipeline irrigation project's foundation stone on Saturday with the goal of guaranteeing irrigation water availability all year round.

The project, according to the residents, is to use pipelines to connect nearby rivers and tiny dams located in several blocks of the drought-stricken Palamu district, ensuring water availability all year round.

"We are advancing Hemant Soren's, the former chief minister, vision. Water conservation would be achievable in ponds, Ahars (earthen dams), check dams, small and large dams, and after this project is finished. We are making every effort to carry out all of the plans in line with the previous chief minister's vision," he continued.

Sattabarwa, Bishrampur, Chhatarpur, Hussainabad, Haidernagar, and Mohemadganj blocks of the Palamu district would be included in the project, according to officials.

Ranital Dam, Temrain Dam, Butanduba Dam, Malay Dam, Postia Dam, Panghatwa Dam, Kundalwa Dam, Wahevadhwa Dam, Batre Dam, Dhankai Dam, Taali Dam, Sukhnadia Dam, and Karmakalan Dam are among the most significant water bodies that would be connected to the project, according to officials.
