Kamal Nath claims 'game of deceit' after exit of Chhindwara aides; BJP reacts

Bhopal: Former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath has accused the incumbent BJP of lying and dishonesty after his aides left the Congress in his pocket borough of Chhindwara.

Kamal Nath said that the BJP was abusing power, resources, and administrative advantages to intimidate opposition politicians ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in a post on X on Monday.

Following the BJP membership of a number of his dependable aides, including MLA Kamlesh Shah and mayor of Chhindwara Vikram Ahake, Kamal Nath unleashed his outburst.

Ahake joined the ruling party on Monday, while Shah joined the BJP last Friday.

A record nine times, Kamal Nath has represented Chhindwara in the Lok Sabha. It was the lone seat the Congress won in Madhya Pradesh during the general elections of 2019. Currently serving as the constituency's MP is his son Nakul Nath.

Kamal Nath, who gained notoriety due to allegations that he was in contact with the BJP, stated on X that he had been attempting to elevate the city to the status of the most advanced region in India. He stated, "Chhindwara has been my 'karmbhoomi,' (workplace), but the BJP wants to turn this holy land into a battleground, or 'ranbhoomi.'"

The BJP engages in a game of falsehoods, deceit, and bargaining before every election, but Nath predicted that the outcome of the poll will show that the people of Chhindwara have punished the BJP appropriately for their crime.

Meanwhile, Chhindwara-based BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya stated on Tuesday that people desire independence from the Congress.

The lotus will fully blossom, and people are tired of living under a family dictatorship. We have assured them that we will shield them. People in this area trust the BJP government and want progress... People are ready to be free of Congress. He added that many people had joined the BJP, including more than 100 sarpanches, members of district panchayats, and MLAs.

Nakul Nath has been put forward by the Congress for the Lok Sabha seat. Vivek Bunty Sahu has been awarded the ticket by the BJP.

Congress leaders join BJP

Along with his wife, Madhvi Shah, the chairperson of Harrai Nagar Palika, and sister, Kesar Netam, a member of the district panchayat, Congress politician Kamlesh Shah, a three-term MLA from Amarwara in Chhindwara district, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party last week.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was there when Vikram Ahake, the mayor of Chhindwara, joined the BJP on Monday.

Yadav stated that the chieftain joined the BJP as a result of what he perceived to be an insult to the tribal group by Nakul Nath. Prahlad Patel, a BJP leader, chastised Kamal Nath for the comments.

Prahlad Patel, a BJP leader, chastised Kamal Nath for the comments. Politicians in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, and around the nation are aware of Kamal Nath's strategies. I proudly declare that I put an end to Kamal Nath's horror in 2004. According to Patel, PTI, Chhindwara witnesses BJP workers being repressed.

Rumors surfaced suggesting that Kamal and Nakul Nath would leave the Congress and join the BJP. Even then, Nakul Nath had unilaterally declared his candidacy from the seat. Later on, though, the two denied the rumors as untrue.
