Kapil Sharma seeks blessings at Vaishno Devi during Navratri

Known for his comic timing, Kapil Sharma has a deeper spiritual side. The stand-up comedian and actor, along with his children Trishaan and Anayra, visited the Vaishno Devi temple with his wife Ginny Chatrath. In a widely circulated video that Hindustan Times released, Kapil can be seen entering the temple premises.

In a video uploaded by a fan account, the Crew actor also performed the bhajan Tune Muhje Bulaya Sherawaliye. Narendra Chanchal performed the song at the beginning as an ode to the Goddess. Kapil wore a kurta-pyjama set with prints. He strolled side by side with his wife Ginni and daughter Anayra. He could be seen waving to everyone and chanting "Jai Mata Di." Goddess Vaishno Devi has been the subject of frequent expressions of devotion from Kapil and Ginni. They hosted a jagran, or religious assembly, at their home in March 2024.

Kapil Sharma's new show

With his new show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kapil has made a comeback to comedy. Stars that have appeared on his show thus far include Shreyas Iyer, Imtiaz Ali, Rohit Sharma, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ranbir Kapoor. The reunion of Kapil and Sunil Grover in the series is another reason for news coverage. Following the public revelation of their purported quarrel on a flight, the two had split up. Rajiv Thakur, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh, and Krushna Abhishek are also featured in the comedic chat show, which is available to stream on Netflix.
