Recently, superstar Rajinikanth was spotted departing from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, aboard an economy flight. When they spotted the actor aboard an IndiGo aircraft, fans were ecstatic and some even struck up a chat with him. Actor Jiiva, who posted about his encounter on Instagram, was equally thrilled to run into him at the airport.
Rajini's economic flight
On X, videos of Rajinikanth on an economy flight have gone viral. In videos posted by fans, they saw the actor putting on his AirPods as they boarded the aircraft. He was heard speaking to a fan in another video, but with muted audio.
One video caption reads, "Superstar Rajinikanth Kadapa airport," while another says, "The closest I've been to GOD." Rajini is seen conversing with the admirer and nodding in agreement in the second video. Fans have previously expressed excitement upon spotting Rajini while traveling. Before the movie Jailer came out in 2023, passengers were ecstatic to see the actor traveling in business class.

Jiiva met the superstar when he got to Chennai. Jiiva most recently starred in Mahi V Raghav's AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy biopic, Yatra 2. Posting videos and images on Instagram, the actor wrote, "Flying high with the superstar Rajinikanth sir!" Jiiva and Rajinikanth are seen conversing in a shuttle while a security guard watches in the footage he posted. He also posted photos that he took with the famous person.
Future Projects
The last time Rajinikanth was spotted was in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's film Lal Salaam, which starred Vishnu Vishal. He is now shooting with TJ Gnanavel for Vettaiyan. A video of him appearing on social media while wearing a police uniform went viral recently. It is anticipated that the film, which also stars Dushara Vijayan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Amitabh Bachchan, will be completed by March.
